i have a file that is exporting corrupt pdfs but I am not sure what the issue is. perhaps i can send you the file to look into what may be causing the bug?
Yeah, please send it to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also upload it here.
Great it has been sent to that email
Got the PDF, thanks.
Thanks for the help via email Christian. FYI for anyone else that may be experiencing an error - it is likely because of Adobe’s PDF dashed line interpreter or lack thereof.
Hi, I seem to be having the issue of corrupt PDFs again, this time with no dashed lines. As in the previous case, the PDF opens correctly in Chrome, but does not open in Adobe Acrobat, and it cannot be placed in Adobe Indesign. I’ve sent the pdf to your email
Thanks for sending over the file, I’ll check it out. Could please provide the original .gvdesign file, too, so that we can have a look at the structure?
Has there been any progress on this issue? I’m having the same problem.
I flattened a path with the blur effect, flattened all imported bitmap images, deleted all text layers (after converting to paths), none of this helped.
I found a work-around but I’d like to get to the source of the problem.
I’m on MacOS. I open the PDF with Preview.app, export it as a PDF, then Acrobat opens it just fine.
