Hey guys, I just want to start saying that the app is gorgeous and I love your attitude of embracing free software. You deserve much more exposure than you have right now (and I’ll be sharing it from now on)!
I am an UX/UI Designer and the tool that I use mostly today is Figma. I always liked Figma because it tries to make interface design software more accessible (web based, fair free tier and easy to share), but now I see that Gravit has the potential to be the ultimate tool for accessible design.
One feature that clearly sets Figma apart is that it enables people to design together via their multiplayer mode (like a google docs for design). I see that this not only brings more people to the design process and make iterations faster, but it allows conversations to created around the design itself. I see this format as a huge opportunity for open design projects, those which the process is public and open for collaboration by third parties. Today we have a lot of stuff being developed in open source software, but little is being done in the open design field. I believe one of the reasons is the lack of good tools and platforms made for collaboration.
I just wanted to start this conversation to know what’s your vision about this path. Is it something you want to be involved into or your ambition is to really be just a standalone graphic design tool for the designer to work alone?
And keep up the good work!
